This delightful ground floor apartment has patio doors that open right onto the harbour and enjoys views of the ever changing estuary and Snowdonia mountains beyond that is favoured by so many of our guests.

The apartment had everything we needed. Very clean and tidy, with beautiful views over the estuary and the cob. Watching the steam engines coming across from Boston Lodge in the morning was lovely. The only moan from my partner was he forgot his binoculars, being a train buff he suggested some little ones available would have been perfect! We had a fabulous time and can't wait to return again early next year. Thanks for everything STS.

We loved our stay at this property. The views were magnificent. We did however have to go and buy some more pillows as the ones provided were a bit flat. We also had problems with the TV. I noted this has been commented on before. However I wasn't very impressed with the customer service when we rang STS for assistance. They were not very helpful at all.

An exceptionally well equipped flat with everything that you could ever need. South Snowdon Wharf is one of our favourite locations to holiday and this flat was everything we hoped for, thank you!

Most of these ground floor flats at South Snowdon Wharf are ideal for 2 people and no more so that suits us. This flat was well kept and well decorated . Comfortable lounge area but some larger people may find the sofa a little small to seat 2. Kitchen was well equipped , but I imagine for most holidaymakers this is not top of their list with so many eating out places in the vicinity. Although it was September/October we didn't need the heating on all . It did take us until nearly the end of our stay to realise where the switch for the heated towel rail was..

This flat was ideal for our long weekend stay. The facilties are good and the view is great! It's well located to find nice restaurants nearby (we enjoyed Y Sgwâr in Tremadog), and sits within good distance to reach Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).

Lovely flat, with parking, ideally situated for town and railway, with amazing views of the estuary. Flat has all of the amenities you will need for a self catering break. Its my second visit to this accommodation and would definitely use it again

Stayed for a week in September 2023, and caught the heatwave just right.

Have stayed on the Wharf several times, but this accommodation was the most comfortable, and the best sited, being on the estuary side, with sights of all the birds and waders, also watching the comes and goings of the trains.
The flat is well cared for, is modern, and carefully equipped for whatever is needed.

Portmadoc of course is excellently situated for trips in all four directions, though on this occasion we were happy to sit outside the flat a lot of the time, enjoy the sun and the the bird songs.

One word of warning, on the first day we visited the Londis Store at the local petrol station. We were charged £2.99 for a medium sized loaf, and £8.49 for a bottle of cough medicine!

It is great to be back for the 2nd time this year.
Once again, good weather, seeing the Ffestiniog Railway and Welsh Highland Railway trains arrive & depart from standing outside the flat. The Ffestiniog Railway trains can be seen inside the flat.
I hope to be back in the same flat next year.

This is a small flat admirably positioned on South Snowdon Wharf for views of the Ffestiniog trains, wading birds and general tidal interest. The accomodation is in fact quite tight. It is clean and well maintained though, with a comfortable bed and sofa. There is bathroom with a modern shower but no space for a bath (I doubt there is in many of these flats). As it is on the ground floor people occasionally pass by along the quayside so it is not quite so private as a first floor flat with a balcony, which some may prefer. The property has a number of useful appliances including a hair dryer which we found in a drawer in the bedroom.

Practise is needed with the kettle (which does pour easily without spillage) and operating the security code mechanism with its very small numbers and inclination to drop out on opening. Also a technique is required to get its hood back into position after the code has been entered and the key released.

I have seen comment doubting the accomodation is 4*; depends what one would expect from 4* but we were satisfied with our choice of flat.



An excellent place to stay to watch the birds and Ffestiniog Railway trains crossing the Cob.

On the first night, it was confusing to use the microwave, but after reading the instructions booklet about how use the microwave several times, it was easy to use the microwave from the 2nd night onward. On 2nd day I discovered where the sliding door key was hung up, and the internet password to use my iPad was in the information box.
All in all, it is lovely place to stay. I’ll be back again as it is clean tidy place to stay.
It was the 1st time I have stayed at this place.

A very nice clean and comfy flat. Lovely views. Close to town and the steam railway and plenty of days out to drive to nearby. Everything you need is in the flat. Will come again.

good directions to flat. easy key lock, was so impressed as soon as we opened the door, the view from patio-door was lovely. the tide was out in the estuary but full of birds. the estuary did not take long to fill up with the sea. Flat was very nice, cosy. Plenty of room in bedroom for all clothes, shower and toilet room lots of cupboard room. Kitchen had all we needed. living area was settee where you could just sit and watch the tide ebb and flow, TV on unit to watch, a good few books to read. near shops and mountain railway , also nice walks. Loved our stay, will be going back.
